Health Statistics: HIV/AIDS
This is a guide of librarian recommended information resources for finding health-related statistical data.
"Leveraging the AIDS response, UNAIDS works to build political action and to promote the rights of all people for better results for global health and development. Globally, it sets policy and is the source of HIV-related data. In countries, UNAIDS brings together the resources of the UNAIDS Secretariat and 11 UN system organizations for coordinated and accountable efforts to unite the world against AIDS."
From the 2016 Full Report: "The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) supports direct health care and support services for over half a million people living with HIV (PLWH)—more than 50 percent of all people living with diagnosed HIV in the United States . The RWHAP has successfully created effective patient centered services to support strong provider-patient relationships. The RWHAP funds and coordinates with cities, states, and local community-based organizations to deliver efficient and effective HIV care, treatment, and support services for low-income PLWH."
