Finding a journal article using the PsycINFO research database
APA PsycINFOThis link opens in a new window• PsycINFO will open in advanced mode and you will see multiple search blanks. Use the multiple blanks to focus your topic search. For example, if you want to find articles on the relationship between studying and academic achievement, enter studying in the top blank and academic achievement in the blank just below. Use additional blanks to focus your topic even further.
• Use the "Peer Reviewed" check box to limit your results to peer reviewed articles only.
• Once you have search results you can generate an APA style citation by clicking on the article title and using the "cite" icon in the "tools" section to the right. These citations will sometimes contain errors so verify that your APA style citation is correct by using the sources found in the guide titled "How do I cite my sources". You can find this guide in the "Need Help" section.
