This guide showcases the materials in the Dayton Holocaust Resource Center that is highlighted in the Holocaust Remembrance Month display, available to visit on the 2nd floor of the Paul Laurence Dunbar Library.

Finding More Resources

The Dayton Holocaust Resource Center is searchable in the University Libraries' Catalog.

Select Dayton Holocaust Resource Center in the right drop-down box to search for resources in that collection.

1. Search using the keyword surviv*

The * (asterisk) is a wildcard that is used to search for alternative endings of words (e.g. survive, survival, surviving, survived, etc.).

2. Search using multiple keywords: surviv* AND Germany

AND is a word Boolean Operator that tells the database to display results with both keywords.

3. Search using multiple keywords with the same meaning: surviv* OR escap*

OR is a word Boolean Operator that tells the database to display results that mention either keyword.

4. Search using multiple keywords and Boolean Operators: (surviv* OR escap*) AND Germany

The ( ) (parentheses) are used to group similar keywords.
